Abstract / Intisari :
Bicycles are one of the means of transportation that has existed since the early 18th century. The bike was first thought to have come from France which was then called velocipede. In terms of bicycle selection, along with the various models, completeness, and prices that exist in the market many people who find obstacles when determining the choice in buying a bike. Therefore, a decision support system is needed to provide the right information in the process of determining the selection of bicycles according to user needs. Decision support system aims to assist the community in determining the selection of bicycles that fit the needs and desired criteria. In order for the bicycle selection process as desired then needed a decision support system using Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is often known as meotde weighted sum. The basic concept of the Simple Additive Weighting method (SAW) is to find the weighted sum of performance ratings on each alternative of all attributes. This method requires the process of normalizing the decision matrix (X) to a scale comparable to all existing alternative ratings. This research produces a decision support system application that provides information in the process of determining the purchase of a bicycle that suits the user's needs and the criteria of the society itself.
